Rand Henke, Entrepreneur-in-Residence

HTR welcomes Rand Henke as its sixth Entrepreneur-in-Residence, and his appointment by HTR marks another return of an entrepreneur to the Rochester area. Rand brings a range of experience with him - from healthcare development to biotech startups - bolstering HTR's ability to support innovative companies.

Rand has over 25 years of professional business experience in a broad array of early-to mid-stage development technology, service and manufacturing businesses. His experiences included several CEO and consultant roles involving general management, finance, technology licensing, marketing and sales, business development and R&D management. He has also co-founded and served on the boards of several economic development not-for-profit organizations focused on technology transfer and the formation of new technology-based businesses.

Rand is currently Chairman of US-HealthForce, a healthcare employee development company and Chairman of a specialty radio-active and hazardous waste container company, Container Technology Industries. He will continue to hold those positions on a part-time basis.

Rand graduated from RIT with a B.S. in Biology. He has also earned a Ph.D in Plant Physiology and Genetics from Miami University.
