Human Resources Management & Organizational Structure

HTR-MEP provides a comprehensive package of services designed to improve local manufacturers’ human resources and organizational structure. Here are some of the elements:

Personnel Assessment - Accomplished through confidential employee interviews, questionnaires, task analysis techniques, observation, and learning the day-to-day operation of the business. Skill gaps are identified, and personnel needs are defined, which may require strengthening in order for your firm to meet its business goals and objectives. Recommendations are made for recruiting, or training of in-house people who may need skills enhancement.

Human Resource Function Auditing - The following areas are reviewed:

  • Hiring Procedures/Recruitment/Interviewing
  • Reference Checking Process
  • New Employee Orientation Program
  • Performance Appraisals
  • Salary Reviews/Compensation Issues
  • Employee Benefits Programs
  • HR Policies and Procedures
  • Employee Handbook
  • Job Descriptions for Key Positions
  • Cross Training
  • Exit Interviews
  • Job Classifications
  • Skills Assessments
  • Staff Mentoring
  • Supervisory Skills

Implement Organizational Improvements - Based on the above personnel assessment and human resource audit, we can assist senior management with implementing organizational development changes and/or programs, consistent with the goals and objectives of your firm. These changes address issues such as reporting relationships, chain-of-command, accountability and authority, spending levels, etc.

Productivity Recommendations - On an on-going basis, and as personnel and departments are observed and evaluated, we can identify areas for cost controls, operational improvements and productivity gains. We will review workflow, layouts and scheduling in the office and factory to determine optimum utilization of equipment and people and make recommendations accordingly.
