Funding OpportunitiesSome of the more popular sources of funding for regional manufacturers include New York State’s: Manufacturing Assistance Program (MAP) encourages manufacturers to invest in projects that will significantly increase the productivity and competitiveness of their operations by providing capital grants of up to $1 million. Industrial Effectiveness Program (IEP) which provides up to two thirds of the cost of consultant effort to implement various types of projects. Reimbursement rates and amounts depend on company size and project scope and can approach $50,000. For more info: click here
Linked Deposit Program – Provides the ability for eligible businesses to obtain loans from commercial banks, savings banks, savings and loan associations, farm credit institutions and the New York Business Development Corporation at a two to three percentage point savings on the prevailing interest rate for "Linked Loans," to make borrowing less expensive. Environmental Services Unit (ESU) – Provides New York State businesses with the tools they need to understand and comply with environmental regulations and provides financial assistance for investments in projects that improve business productivity and competitiveness through enhanced environmental performance. Energy Savings – In addition, New York State offers technical services and capital financing to help businesses identify and implement cost-effective, energy-efficient measures. Technical services include engineering feasibility studies, technical training on energy-efficient technologies, and engineering support for project financing proposals. The energy-related technical assistance and capital financing programs are available to industrial, commercial, not-for-profit and private institutions.
