Ted Franceschi

Seasoned semiconductor veteran Ted Franceschi relocated to Rochester to accelerate our region's growth firms in his role as Entrepreneur-in-Residence with HTR… the innovators' edge. Ted brings 25 years of industry experience in the semiconductor and intellectual property areas, with a focus on wireless, consumer, automotive, PC and industrial segments, including product and licensing experience. 

Ted began his work career after RIT graduation by joining Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc. where he served in several executive level operational, sales and marketing assignments over his 20 year term. His final position at Toshiba was as Senior Vice President of Business Development with responsibility for 16 product lines in the Americas with annual sales in excess of $2.5 billion.
 
Since leaving Toshiba in 2000, Ted has been engaged in several California-based ventures. He served as COO of a fabless radio frequency integrated circuit company prior to being recruited SRS Labs as EVP & General Manager to return that company to profitability . SRS is a NASDAQ-traded audio enhancement intellectual property, IC and solutions company. Most recently, he has been CEO of Consequent Partners, a global consultancy business serving consumer and industrial electronic firms.
 
Ted has also been forging New Scale Technology’s financial and commercial relationships since early 2005. As an advisor with High Tech Rochester, he was instrumental in arranging New Scale’s 2005 venture financing and securing the 2006 license agreement with Tamron. He was named Chief Development Officer in 2006 and shares the duties of chief executive with David Henderson.
