Matt Licata

Matt brings over 20 years of high level managerial experience in both the financial and operational sides of business. After successfully managing the operations of a high tech, high capacity electronics firm, Matt received his MBA from St John Fisher College in Finance and Accounting, and subsequently, his CPA license, thus moving into the financial side of business, holding a variety of positions starting with general accountant at a major corporation, to CFO of a multi divisional local company.

Since starting his own consulting company in 2004, Matt has worked with several small to midsize companies, including start-ups and turnarounds, being able to bridge the gap between the operational and financial sides of the businesses. Matt has also consulted on projects with the likes of Kodak, Global Crossing and other large organizations, bringing their best practices into the smaller companies.
Throughout his professional business experience, Matt has many times rolled up his sleeves, doing the heavy lifting and hand-holding that small companies often need. Matt has found that many entrepreneurs are great at inventing and talking about their products, however, not sure how to obtain funding, strategically position their product, write business plans, or create financial statements that funding sources require. With Matt’s in depth knowledge of the financial end, coupled with his knowledge of operations and funding sources, Matt has been able to obtain funding in a variety of ways, including Federal and State grants, equity investments, lines of credit, import/export financing, etc.
