Alan Rae

Dr. Rae is an experienced, goal oriented, technical and general manager with over 25 years experience in advanced materials. He has a strong background in commercializing ceramics, metals and nanotechnology, worked with the ceramics, refractories, steel, electronics and the oil and gas exploration and production industry.

Dr. Rae ran R&D as a profit center using commercial, SBIR and congressional funding and has built successful R&D, commercialization and sales teams. He started, ran, turned around or shut down (when appropriate) new businesses for Cookson Group and NanoDynamics (including structural ceramics, electronic ceramics, lead-free solders, steel mold and ladle fluxes, high purity zirconia, refractory zirconia, ceramic colors, semiconductor diffusion sources, nano cluster devices, semiconductor copper, nanotechnology for life sciences and process intensification equipment).

He formed TPF Enterprises, a successful research & consulting company.
