Organizing sponsors HTR...The Innovator's Edge, Greater Rochester Enterprise, Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of Rochester / Simon School of Business are pleased to invite you to join us for the 2007 Rochester Entrepreneurship Conference on the campus of the University of Rochester.

What to Expect

The focus of the 2007 Rochester Entrepreneurship Conference is “Improving Your Chances of Success: A Process Perspective,” and will feature three concurrent session tracks: Starting High Potential Ventures, Accelerating Venture Growth, and Commercializing Technology. Each track will have four sessions, beginning in the morning and continuing through the afternoon.

Keynote addresses will be provided by Rochester’s own B. Thomas Golisano, founder of Paychex, as well as nationally-recognized expert on entrepreneurship Dr. Ray Smilor, Executive Director of the Beyster Institute, Rady School of Management, University of California at San Diego, and author of Daring Visionaries: How Entrepreneurs Build Companies, Inspire Allegiance and Create Wealth.  This year’s conference speakers, presenters and panelists will include an exceptional selection of local successful entrepreneurs, investors and capital experts, successful innovators and researchers, and economic development experts.

Who Should Attend

The 2007 Conference is targeted to concept- and early-stage entrepreneurs, growth stage entrepreneurs, researchers, professional service providers, college faculty and students. This year’s Conference will feature box-lunch breakout sessions, enabling attendees to engage in true roundtable discussions on the topics presented in the sessions. Registration for the event is $95 for the day (including lunch and refreshments). Online registration can be found at www.regonline.com/121143.

Additional Details

Parking for this event will be available at the UR complex on River Road, and shuttle buses will be running to and from the River Campus from 7:30am throughout the day.

When you register, you will be asked to select each session you wish to attend throughout the course of the day. You are free to select sessions from each of the three tracks as suits your interests, though the sessions are grouped by theme under the three distinct Tracks. Please choose the sessions that are most appealing to you; while you will be allowed to change your mind, having a reasonable prediction of the popularity of each session will better allow us to accomodate all who wish to attend.

Additionally, you will be asked to make a lunch selection (box-lunch sandwich choices, or a vegetarian selection) when you register, and this is also important to help us plan properly for the lunch period.
